International Fashion Hackathon

Introduction

“The Secret of great fashion is to choose and feel good in what you wear, take full advantage of every style that comes your way”. Fashion Designing is one of the most exciting and challenging sectors. Evolutionary and innovations in the production of textiles, apparel and clothing have opened the gateway for intelligent fashion in the forthcoming years. Quick response to the customer demands is the need for the day in the fashion design world. Innovative designing, showcasing and promotion of design is most important in the fashion sector. The outdoor visits provide a solid foundation for understanding the state of art for the industries. The organisation of the International Hackathon will help in network building amongst the designs professionals, overall understanding and learning of technological aspects, integration of theory and practical application skills to meet the needs of related industry and society in larger perceptive.

Objectives

• To conceptualize, ideate and develop an innovative research design related to textiles, apparel and fashion
• To design and showcase the apparel, haut couture designs and folios as per the theme
• To Inculcate strong human values, social, interpersonal, and leadership skills required in designing
• To recognise the talents in the fashion designing sector
• To build global professional networking and sharing of ideas

Competition Domains

Department of Fashion Design, Faculty of Art and Design, Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India is organising International Fashion Hackathon 2021- ‘Realistic Modern Smart Fashion for the Future-2025’ (BHAVISYA NAVYA CHATUR VASTRA VASTAVAM) will be held from 22 November 2021- 20 Dec 2021 in online mode.

Best attractive prizes with e-certificate will be given for all the winners of 3 main competitions domains Fashion Innovations and Projects, Portfolio Design and Virtual Shows, Revamp and Re-Design with sub-themes. Separate international and National Judges/ mentors for each domain.

Hurry up free registration starts from 15 Oct 2021 and ends on 7 November 2021.

Rules and Regulations

1. Registrations start from 15th October 2021 to 7 November 2021
2. Participation individual or group of 2 – 4 members
3. Innovations related to the above theme need to be discussed with Mentors/ Judges from 8th November 2021 onwards and to be submitted by 10 Dec 2021
4. Final presentations will be on 13Dec 2021 as per guidelines online mode
5. Total of 15 prizes to be won
