A brand based in Delhi NCR is looking for an experienced Sourcing Manager – Apparel (Activewear) to establish and lead its sourcing function. This role is ideal for a professional with strong expertise in sportswear, activewear, athleisure, performance apparel, textile sourcing, and vendor development.
The successful candidate will oversee sourcing strategy, supplier onboarding, costing, negotiations, product development, sampling, and production readiness. The role offers an opportunity to build sourcing capabilities, develop reliable vendor partnerships, and support business growth in the performance apparel market.
💼 Key Responsibilities
🧵 Fabric & Material Sourcing
Identify suitable fabrics, textiles, and suppliers for sportswear, activewear, athleisure, and performance apparel requirements.
🤝 Vendor Development
Develop supplier relationships, evaluate vendor capabilities, manage supplier onboarding, and strengthen sourcing partnerships.
💰 Costing & Negotiations
Lead costing discussions, negotiate commercial terms, manage minimum order quantities (MOQs), and identify cost efficiencies.
👕 Product Development
Coordinate product development, sampling, material selection, and readiness for production.
📦 Production Readiness
Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support production planning, material availability, and timely execution.
🚀 Sourcing Strategy
Build the sourcing function, establish effective processes, and align vendor capabilities with business requirements.
🎯 Key Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience in apparel sourcing.
- Expertise in sportswear, activewear, athleisure, and performance apparel.
- Strong knowledge of fabric sourcing, textiles, and vendor development.
- Experience in costing, commercial negotiations, MOQ management, and supplier onboarding.
- Hands-on experience in product development, sampling, and production readiness.
- Ability to establish, develop, and lead a sourcing function from the ground up.
- Strong supplier relationship management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
