Role Overview & Key Responsibilities
Parampora is looking for a passionate Category Head to lead their Handloom & Heritage Crafts portfolio. You will build the complete lifecycle: Artisan → Weave → Product → Collection → Market.
- Cluster Sourcing & Artisan Network: Travel to craft clusters across India to source authentic weaves and build weaver/artisan networks.
- Collection & Assortment: Develop market-ready collections, manage product design, and build commercial assortments.
- Vendor & Cost Management: Oversee vendor development, costing, price negotiations, and supply chain timelines.
- Quality & Authenticity Verification: Ensure product quality standards and verify the heritage/craft authenticity of handloom products.
- Craft Storytelling: Craft compelling narratives around weaves, traditions, and artisanal heritage to drive customer engagement.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Handloom, Handicraft, Textiles, or Ethnic Wear.
- Strong background as a Buyer, Merchandiser, Sourcing Professional, or Category Manager in the handloom/craft sector.
- Deep knowledge of Indian weaves, traditional textiles, and craft clusters across India.
- Degree/Diploma from premier institutes like NIFT, NID, IIHT, or IICD preferred.
- Willingness to travel extensively to craft clusters across India.
