Manager – Weaving (Automotive Technical Textiles)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manager – Weaving to oversee end-to-end weaving operations within our Automotive Technical Textiles division. The ideal candidate will take ownership of production targets, quality control, loom optimization, and resource management to deliver top-tier automotive fabrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Manage end-to-end weaving operations, ensuring execution aligned with production, quality, and delivery schedules.
• Capacity & Resource Planning: Plan loom capacity, production timelines, manpower, and shift allocations for maximum loom efficiency and resource utilization.
• Efficiency & Waste Control: Closely monitor loom productivity, downtime, rejection rates, and wastage, implementing proactive corrective strategies.
• Technical Expertise: Utilize deep expertise in warp/weft dynamics, fabric construction, yarn properties, and weaving parameters to troubleshoot complex shop-floor issues.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner seamlessly with PPC, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Stores to sustain continuous production flows.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous initiatives targeting productivity enhancements, cost optimization, quality improvements, and scrap reduction.
• R&D & Trials: Support new fabric development by leading weaving trials and optimizing technical processes.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to 5S methodologies, workplace safety guidelines, quality management systems, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Team Mentorship: Lead, upskill, and mentor supervisors, operators, and plant personnel to foster operational excellence.

Candidate Requirements & Profile

• Education: B.Tech or Diploma in Textile Engineering / Textile Technology.
• Experience: 10–20 years of core textile manufacturing experience (Minimum 8+ years required).
• Special Preference: Hands-on experience in automotive technical textiles or automotive fabric manufacturing is highly preferred.
