To check fabric quality there are many methods by which one can identify the quality of the fabric. 10-point inspection is one of the methods to analyze the fabric quality same as 4-point inspection.
The process is similar to 4-point inspection- In 10-point inspection, the only length of the fault and point varies.
Penalty points are assigned according to size of defects.
| Length of defeat | Penalty points |
| Up to 1 inch | 1 |
| 1 to 5 inch | 3 |
| 5 to 10 inch or till half width | 5 |
| More than 10 inch or full width | 10 |
These penalty points are used to calculate total points in the fabric. Same as 4 point inspection.
