Key Responsibilities & Job Scope
We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead the purchase operations for textile dyes, pigments, auxiliaries, and processing chemicals at our Mohali unit.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate strategic contracts with top dye and chemical manufacturers.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels closely to avoid production delays or overstocking of reactive, direct, or disperse dyes.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all incoming chemicals (caustic soda, acetic acid, optical brightening agents, etc.) meet precise technical specifications.
- Cost Optimization: Track raw material market trends to reduce procurement costs without compromising fabric quality.
- Regulatory & Safety Compliance: Ensure suppliers adhere to Safety Data Sheets (SDS), environmental standards, and Restricted Substance Lists (RSL) including REACH and ZDHC.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering, Textile Technology, Textile Chemistry, or Science Graduate (B.Sc/M.Sc).
- Prior experience in chemical/dyes procurement within textile manufacturing, processing, or dyeing units.
- Strong understanding of chemical safety, environmental compliance, and market cost dynamics.
