About the Opportunity

Our client is a leading consumer organization with large-scale manufacturing operations and a broad supplier network. They are seeking a visionary Head – Procurement to strengthen procurement capabilities, optimize supplier networks across multi-site manufacturing setups, and drive sustainable cost and operational improvements in Technical Textiles, Footwear, and Speciality Chemicals.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement end-to-end material sourcing strategies across manufacturing operations.
• Consolidate and optimize the supplier base, sourcing channels, and raw material specifications.
• Lead supplier assessment, qualification, development, performance reviews, and strategic partnerships.
• Drive commercial negotiations, cost benchmarking, and sustainable procurement savings.
• Partner with Quality teams to ensure supplier capability and materials strictly align with product standards.
• Ensure timely material availability across multiple manufacturing locations while managing lead times and inventory risks.
• Identify alternate sources for critical raw materials and establish robust continuity readiness.
• Establish data-led procurement controls and develop a performance-oriented procurement team.

Skills & Qualifications

• 15–18 years of progressive leadership experience in strategic procurement, raw-material sourcing, category management, and supplier development.
• Demonstrated track record in cost optimization, supplier rationalization, negotiations, and material quality improvement.
• Proven experience managing multi-site manufacturing needs across domestic and international supplier networks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or related discipline (Postgraduate qualification preferred).
