Shift In-charge (Dyeing)

Role Overview

The primary purpose of this role is to carry out smooth, high-quality, and time-bound shift operations in the Dyeing Department as per production schedule and PPD timelines at the state-of-the-art Raymond UCO Denim Plant located in Yavatmal.

Key Operational Responsibilities

• Production Targets: Achieve shift production targets while ensuring machines run efficiently according to the production schedule.
• Breakdown & Maintenance Control: Promptly attend to shift machine problems and coordinate with maintenance personnel for swift breakdown rectification.
• Quality & Waste Reduction: Minimize defect rates, quality-related rejections, and material waste across shift operations.
• Manpower Leadership: Efficiently handle and guide shift workers and floor operators to maintain high productivity and quality standards.
• Reporting & Escalations: Ensure timely, accurate reporting of shift performance, breakdowns, and issues to higher management.
• Departmental Support: Carry out additional departmental responsibilities as assigned by plant leadership.

Technical & Professional Requirements

• Degree in B.E. or B.Text in Textile Technology / Textile Chemistry or related engineering field.
• 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in textile plant operations, specifically in denim fabric manufacturing.
• Substantial hands-on experience working across diverse production machinery in dyeing units.
• Comprehensive understanding of the complete textile manufacturing process (Spinning, Weaving, Dyeing, Finishing).
• Practical knowledge of machine programming, production planning, and shop-floor scheduling.
