Job Overview

Miniklub Retail Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and experienced Kidswear Designer (preferably specializing in the Girls category) to join its Design Team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will bring strong trend forecasting skills, creative collection design, and hands-on expertise in end-to-end product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct trend, market, and competitor research to identify relevant trends and consumer preferences.
• Develop seasonal concepts, mood boards, color palettes, and design directions.
• Design and develop seasonal kidswear collections across categories, including Girlswear and/or Boyswear.
• Work on silhouettes, fabric selection, prints, graphics, embroideries, and garment detailing.
• Create detailed technical sheets, specifications, and tech packs.
• Coordinate with sourcing, merchandising, vendors, and production teams throughout the product development process.
• Review samples, fittings, and print strike-offs to ensure design execution meets quality and brand standards.
• Contribute to seasonal range planning while ensuring designs align with the brand’s aesthetic, target customer, and commercial requirements.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in kidswear/apparel design.
• Education: Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design or a related discipline.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, trims, prints, and techniques.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Industry Insight: Good knowledge of trend forecasting and end-to-end product development.
• Soft Skills: Strong creative vision, communication, and team coordination skills.
